Make Your Own Advent Calendar
You will need:
1 bottom page of calendar printed onto card
1 top page of calendar printed onto card
felt pens or coloured pencils
fine glue stick
metal ruler
craft knife
cutting matMethod:
1. Print off a copy of the top and bottom pages of the calendar.
2. Make a colourful design to cover the top page of the calendar - you might like to make a nativity scene, or a Christmas tree.
3. Ask an adult to cut around the windows with a craft knife. They will need to only cut round three sides of each door. Cut a slit down the middle of the '24' box, to make 2 doors. Don't open the windows now, or they will not lie flat again.4. Draw little pictures in each of the boxes in the bottom page of the calendar. You might like to draw the things you would like for Christmas, or things from the Christmas story - angels, kings, a star etc... Draw a picture of the baby Jesus in the big box.
5. Put glue in the spaces round the boxes, and round the edges of the bottom page of the calendar. Be careful not to get any on the boxes.6. Stick the two pages together, making sure that the edges are lined up.
7. Trim off the extra paper round the edge.
8. Now you can open one door every day from the beginning of December until Christmas!Go to the bottom page of the calendar
